Privacy policy
Last updated 18 August 2026
This policy explains what personal data Saifman AB handles when you visit this website or contact us, and what rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Data controller
Saifman AB, Swedish company registration number 559593-9454, registered office in Karlstad, Sweden, is the data controller for the personal data described here. Questions about this policy, or about your data, go through the contact page.
2. What we collect
This website has no account system, no advertising and no analytics or tracking scripts, and it sets no cookies of its own. The only place it asks for anything is the contact form.
We handle personal data in two situations:
- When you use the contact form. We hold what you enter: your name, your email address, and the name of your business and your telephone number if you choose to give them, together with your message and our replies.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard technical data when a page is served: IP address, time, the page requested and browser user-agent, for security and to keep the site running.
3. Why, and on what legal basis
Correspondence is handled in order to answer you and, where relevant, to prepare or perform an agreement with you (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), or on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our business (Article 6(1)(f)). Server logs are kept on the basis of our legitimate interest in the security and stability of the site (Article 6(1)(f)). We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not send marketing email to people who have not asked for it.
4. How long we keep it
Correspondence is kept for as long as needed to deal with the matter and for a reasonable period afterwards, and is then deleted, unless we must keep it longer under Swedish accounting law, which requires certain records to be retained for seven years. Server logs are kept for a short period under our hosting provider's own retention schedule.
5. Who else sees it
We never sell personal data and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. Data is processed on our behalf by the suppliers who provide our email and website hosting, as data processors bound by written agreements. If a supplier processes data outside the EU/EEA, we rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism. We may disclose data where the law requires it.
6. Your rights
You have the right to ask for access to the personal data we hold about you, and to have it corrected or erased; to ask us to restrict processing or to object to it; and, where processing rests on a contract, to receive your data in a portable form. Write to us through the contact page and we will answer within one month.
If you believe we handle your data unlawfully, you may complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY), Box 8114, 104 20 Stockholm.
7. Our applications
This policy covers this website and our correspondence with you. Any Saifman application will carry its own privacy information for the data it processes, together with a data processing agreement where we handle data on a customer's behalf.
8. Changes
We may update this policy as the company and its products develop. The date at the top of the page shows when it last changed.
